About Me
Prior to starting BioLink Talent Solutions, Blake Boland enjoyed a successful career in biotechnology spanning 30 years. Blake contributed in a variety of home office and field-based roles throughout his career and as a senior executive, helped build and lead two start-up biotech companies in San Diego. His experience in both biopharmaceuticals and medical devices includes more than a dozen different medical specialty areas and the scaling up of three new teams and the recruiting and staffing of hundreds of personnel across all levels from senior management to individual contributor roles.
Blake was able to experience first-hand that high-performing organizations have high-performing people and attracting and retaining top talent is the lifeblood of the most successful companies. He is driven by the opportunity to positively impact both companies and candidates, while doing something that is also personally fulfilling and meaningful.

In starting a biotech recruiting and search firm, Blake believes the opportunity to create value for his clients and candidates is significant. His own experience with recruiting agencies was largely unpredictable and he found most recruiters inexperienced or inconsistent in identifying and vetting top talent in the biotech space. As Principal of BioLink Talent Solutions, Blake’s top priority is to provide your organization with exceptional and uncommon talent, with a sense of urgency, at an equitable cost.
As a former SVP, VP, Director, and Manager having direct working experience with all the diverse types of positions and people in a biotech organization, Blake offers a unique and comprehensive understanding of what kind of competencies and experience is required for success in a given role. This, aligned with your organization’s job description and/or hiring profile, will allow us to find top talent with the “right DNA” for your opening.
Blake earned his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Rockhurst University and B.A. in Business Administration from Graceland University.
